Idea and concept
The main idea about the creation of this portal, was an idea of Joaquín Rodríguez,
user of the web Magnatune.com
and also Computer Engineer by the University of Wales focused on .NET tecnologies.Joaquin shows that the site Magnatune have a lot of bad things in terms of usability and Web 2.0, with a poor searcher and very poor design, not focus in the content, that it's a very important think nowadays.
The idea continued turning into my head, the possibility of make smart searches, RSS sindication, automatic selection of songs depend on personal likes, etc...
With the engine of the web (that alow the web to be updated and improving the behaviour of the response) and the web itself finished the site need a good desing obviously...
Design
For the design task, and SEo, other person join the team, his name is David Rodríguez, helping with all the stuff that have relationship with XHTML and CSS validation and lot more value.
Consequence
The combination finished some years ago with the cretion of this web site, with VB.NET and MySQL tecnology, and with XHTML and CSS validation. After that in the middle of 2010, we changed totally the design and the tecnology behind this Web Site, bringning more features related with styles, albums, searchers, statistics, and likes prediction.
With complete re-programation of all web in .NET 4.0, using ASP.NET, C#, web services, WCF, Entity Framework and location of the site.
All the Web Site was made over SQL Server, with stored procedures, making the web faster and better, with a design in XHTML and CSS 2.1 with HTML5 improvements (The track player works over HTML5 in the web browsers that support that and Flash in the rest).
The result is a Magnatuneasy.com totally new and better.
